A little musical gem from my archives

Hello lovelies,

I promised you all something “artistic” as a token of my appreciation and to welcome you to this special and (for me, at least!) exciting new relationship. I thought about what it could be, and my thinking went thus: there is a good selection of visual stuff on here already – pictures of me in various kinds of performance, pictures of my sculptures and paintings, a sample of my novel, even a little poetry (the tiers are illustrated with ZenSiren haikulikes, a verse form I invented years ago). What there isn’t yet is any video or any music.

Well, video will take some time, but music I can rustle up. So I dug into my archives and unearthed this old favourite – the lead single from an album my band and I never recorded, but which would have been called Eleven Uneasy Pieces.

I haven’t added any artwork because it’s just a rough demo, and for the same reason please don’t publish it anywhere yourselves – this is purely for your own entertainment. The song is The Race – words and melody by me, guitar by Eugene Jiang.

I hope you enjoy it – feel free to send me some feedback by clicking through to the Patreon site.
